Introduction to qPCR Training Course

This course is being held in conjunction with the Advances in qPCR conference.

Who Should Attend?

The course is suitable for scientists, medical and legal technicians and practitioners. It will provide an overview of real time qPCR and RT-qPCR from a basic introduction to advanced practical considerations and troubleshooting. It will be assumed that attendees have a clear understanding of basic molecular biology techniques including DNA and RNA preparation, reverse transcription and PCR.

Learning Objectives

1. Understand theory of qPCR
2. Gain knowledge of assay design and optimisation
3. Identifying sources of variability
4. Recognise common problems and gain troubleshooting skills
5. Data analysis
