SpinX-Technologies
SpinX-Technologies (Geneva, Switzerland) develops products exploiting its adaptive microfluidics technology. The SpinX Lab integrates liquid handling, fluorescence and TR-FRET readout as well as a CCD camera in a bench-top instrument. The SpinX has been developed for selectivity testing and compound profiling. Opportunistically, we have tested successfully protein crystallization, using it’s unique matrix capabilities for condition testing. The SpinX gStack™ and gCard™ are fully compatible with the established 384-well format, with each well acting as a reservoir for protein, precipitant, reagent, or buffer solutions.

Dunn Labortechnik, a privately owned German company founded over 25 years ago, is offering a wide range of products for cell and tissue culture, molecular biology, drug discovery, tissue engineering and related technologies. On booth no. 9 they will exhibit the “Phoenix“ from Art Robbins Instruments. The “Phoenix” is a multiposition, high-throughput liquid-handling platform which is characterized by nine assay positions (including 1 wash station and 2 reagent positions). Interchangeable syringe heads have a range of 0, 1 µl to 1 ml. With its optional rapid non-contact nano-dispenser (50 nl, 96 wells/30 sec.) it is particularly suitable for protein crystallisation. Also shown on the booth is the “CrysCam”, a versatile digital microscope for protein crystal and microplate observation and documentation.
