Suman Kapur, Senior Professor & Head , Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani

Prof. Suman Kapur is Senior Professor & Head of the Department of Biological Sciences in Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani, Andhra Pradesh. She persued her B.Sc. Zoology (Hons) from Delhi University, Delhi in 1977 & M.Sc. Medical Biochemistry from AIIMS, New Delhi in 1980 followed by Ph.D in 1986. She has published more than 100 articles in reviewed journals and delivered more than 175 Presentations and Invited Lectures.
Her research interests are Genetic markers for vulnerability to chronic human diseases, Screening strategies for low-cost settings, Medical devices for field deployment in low resource settings, Prevention of diseases through herbal/natural products. She has applied for many patents and has guided many research scholars and residents.
